I'm working through the Internal Family Systems Workbook by Richard Schwartz after hearing about it in Huberman. In addition to the core Self, some of us have parts that are driving us: Exiles, Managers, and Firefighters. The practice is to create a cooperative and trusting relationship between the Self and the parts.

You just have to be conscious to know if you are driving or being driven. Its a skill we all have to hone.
