Where does the boredom come from or what does it point to? One of the things I’m learning is that feelings point to things - stuck things, old things, new but scary things etc

I think boredom in a long timeframe comes from a lack of purpose, a lack of direction and a lack of goal that you are striving towards. Boredom in short term is just a undefined pause where you don’t know what do or don’t want to do.
