GM 🫰🏽🌞 The album of the day is 'Tomorrow's Harvest'. I could have chosen any other album because Boards of Canada is something different as fuck. Words are useless to explain what these songs make me feel when I listen to them. https://open.spotify.com/album/07Ckd8KDDxcbY5iUXjhuex?si=BEJcKBZySpqGEo8m9vNaug

Released in 2018, it's their latest album until now. Deep sounds, feeling of decay and nostalgia. The album plays with ambient elements, IDM too... It's hard to categorize the style in just one genre. The mysterious halo is always present. https://open.spotify.com/track/7F2r3g9H42ZawwrOJJrDMz?si=zRsNzVCeQX2hImfuHtrhqg

There are many videos on YouTube like "How BOC hacks your mind thru nostalgia". People analyze their samples, their bpm... There is film (!) made by fans, recreating what they feel while listening BOC. Brilliant musicians. Not a surprise that the label is Warp Records. https://youtu.be/4HYzkDa-8OA?si=1Bh6gQXDk0JB6ldz

This Scottish duo (Michael Sandison and Marcus Eoin) 🏴 always understood what they're transmiting in their music. IMO they know that their fans are not stupid and they play with that (just like Richard D. James does 7\). They enjoy to be cryptic and kinda occult. 🕳👁

Cryptic. It was what happened when they promoted 'Tomorrow's Harvest'. The marketing campaign was so interesting, unidentified codes, listening parties... I could copypaste things but here you can read everything about it. Curious, huh? https://bocpages.org/wiki/Tomorrow%27s_Harvest_Viral_Marketing_Campaign
