My anti-rec is Renzo's, unless you're a big fan of "The Art of Self Defense" because the director of the film trained and coached there when I did.

The gym I would choose if traffic/location didn't exist would be Cobrinha because I love his style.

Depends on where in LA but Cobrinha or UATCP are good bets
