A long time ago I decided that I was a great photographer (spoiler: I wasn’t) and wanted to work abroad. I sent out a bunch of resumes to random places, often without even checking where exactly I was applying. Surprisingly, it worked - I got a response: “We expect you in a week, if you’re late, don’t come.” The response was from a Dominican travel company... I didn’t even know what kind of country it was or where it was located. My language skills were practically zero, and I only had enough money for a one-way ticket 😅. So with $100 in my pocket, I went to the unknown, 10,000 km away, and lived there for almost 5 years. I guess this story is about how taking risks can pay off, and maybe it can even be linked to cryptocurrency - but I’ll let you decide. If anyone is interested, I can write a sequel. 10 replies
