Ethereum Foundation Makes Significant Investment in DeFi Protocols
🔸 The Ethereum Foundation has invested about $120 million in the AAVE and Spark platforms by transferring a portion of its Ether (ETH) holdings to decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols.
🔸 In this regard, 30,800 Ether ($81.6 million) was transferred to the AAVE platform, 10,000 Ether ($26 million) to Spark, and 4,200 Ether ($11.2 million) to Compound.
🔸 The move, which could bring in $1.5 million in annual profit for the foundation, comes after public criticism of the foundation’s treasury management and suggestions for a change in its leadership, including replacing Aya Miyaguchi, its executive director. / Source 1 reply
