Definition of terms would help resolve this thread between @leashless-matr and @vitalik.eth. I believe Vinay's working conceptualisation of identity is typified by the legal bureaucratization of identity (e.g. national ID card), those based on permanent physical features (e.g. face), and inventions vying to achieve similar permanence (e.g. Facebook ID). In my work, I categorise digital identity today, including SSI, as noun-like. Only in this context ๐Ÿ‘†๐Ÿผcan the following tweet even make the slightest sense, otherwise to be 'against' identity and reputation is to be 'against' people.

Glen and Audrey are bringing @vitalik.eth over to, shall we say, a more human, more biomimetic appreciation for identity and so how digital identity might work if we approached it differently. The opposite of noun-like is verb-like. Dynamic, social, malleable, temporary, multiple, subjective, contextual. This categorisation encompasses the purview of all disciplines with an interest in the matter except for law and computer science. I'm dedicated to the humanisation of digital identity and it's the mission of our work at Unnamed Labs. /addresso It's nothing short of essential if our hopes and dreams for web3 are to prevail.
