5 years ago, it was basically impossible to not use web2 platforms anymore. It wasn't even close. Today it's close enough that I misread below as "not on any web2 platforms anymore" and it seemed tough but plausible. We're almost there.

Linking to the recent tab of a channel (e.g. https://warpcast.com/~/channel/solana-security/recent) shows completely different results for someone who is logged in vs someone who does not have an account (fewer posts, lower quality?). This is surprising and makes for a less compelling pitch for onboarding IMO.

I wish browsers would indicate when you visit a page that had expired cookies. There's nothing quite like being signed out of every single website on the same day ("have I been haxed??"), because you setup a new device mod-90 days ago and login cookies expire after 90 days.

Perhaps spam is the great decentralizer? As monoliths get more valuable, they become spam magnets (especially as they subsidize usage for growth). User frustration creates an opportunity to break out to more decentralized options that are less exploitable in the same way.
