Someone needs a history lesson. The 1800's were not the idyllic time you seem to think they were. Not even for the whites. Morality was, if anything, a whole lot worse back then, and life was harder for everyone than it is now (although basically everyone somehow worked less hours). You'd often die from minor wounds, most people lived hard, unhappy lives which were a daily struggle, and if there was a hard winter you'd need to pick who starved to death. Having a baby was considered life threatening. And spoiler alert, if you're not a billionaire now, you wouldn't have been one then either, so whatever nonsense dream you've been sold, it didn't exist for you in that time period (unless that dream is owning slaves), and you'd be wise to do some learning and understand that before you go vote for stupid things and let corrupt, lying politicians and political talking heads take full advantage of you because you're too busy daydreaming about things which never existed. 0 reply
