I think we're at the threshold of making culture less important than utility of using public web3 knowledge. If Farcaster is going to survive, it has to embrace that it's not going to replace twitter or bluesky but is instead a sort of integrated etherscan/basescan with the social layer that lets the radical idea of transparent financial actions also be a part of crypto cultural networking.

No, I think it's just about a sort of paradigm shift. Like, people have to care that they can easily see what coins or nfts or whatever people are playing with. Even if you can have other wallets etc that aren't so public. The whole point of integrating all the web3 stuff is to appeal to the crowd that wants it - and the vibe of mainstream adoption is tenuous at best.
