I paid what felt at the time handsomely for a developer to help me make this and I think it garnered like, 4 additional mints. It was a passion project I couldn't reproduce if I wanted to.

Never say never. 
Also, the more people who find it will increase the chance of more people minting. 
That doesn't just have to be the frame, but the site itself just needs more awareness.

Well, that project specifically is sorta paused indefinitely. Canto is not a place I would recommend minting anything right now.

It's okay, I keep this site up because I love it - and maybe one day I'll re-visit some of that art.

Its a great idea. It deserves to live on.
