The Dudinka Seaport is the northernmost international Russian port and the largest in Siberia, located on the right bank of the Yenisei River in the North of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. This is the main transport hub of Taimyr. About 4.5 million tons of cargo are overloaded here per year. Mostly industrial. There is a railway line from Dudinka to Norilsk, which connects the port with all key industries. Finished products are being brought back from here.

The warning siren sounds. The bombers give the command. And a moment later bright flashes are visible. The quarry is so large that the sound reaches the observation deck in a couple of seconds. 200,000 cubic meters of ore and rock from the monolith turned into a pile of stones. This is the Medvezhiy Ruchey quarry in Norilsk. One of the first places where nickel ore began to be mined in Taimyr in the mid-twentieth century. In size, this is a man-made โpitโ 400 meters deep, 1300 m wide, and the length of the quarry field is about 3 km. On the day of arrival there was silence. Work was stopped as planned before blasting. All equipment was taken to a safe distance from blasting operations. There were no more people or cars left below. Everyone watched from the observation deck.

Good news. This summer I decided to combine my work and personal trips around the region and make a big video project "Krasnoyarsk Krai from edge to edge". And with this post I announce its beginning. The plan is grandiose - to visit both the South and the North, to cover the territory from Minusinsk to Norilsk, from Yergak to Putorana plateau. I will walk through the mountains, raft down rivers, fly over the taiga and go underground. I want to learn more about the area around me myself, so in addition to hiking stories I will record conversations with archaeologists, geologists, tourists. A separate line is filming at production facilities. I love to shoot how something is mined, processed, produced. And I want to show this part of the region's life too.

Torgashin Stairs. Good on weekdays. Few people, parking is free. It seems that everyone knows about the location, but in ig in a private message there are still questions about where it is. This is Torgashinsky Ridge. The stairs start from the Grenada stop. And further down the slope you will see where else you can go

gm My first airplane flight over Krasnoyarsk. It's certainly not like flying a copter, it's a different scale and sensation. We flew over the entire right and left bank. It's amazing. We were lucky to have a beautiful sunset.
