2. What algo/protocol/rules do you set for the token to ensure long term qDAU growth of channel participants? You can vest the token assignments if you'd like

i'd say:
1. has to be stupid simple. complexity is a ceiling and a deterrent. 
2. slow drip to ensure quality as the group finds its footing. 

prob rounds with an intentional and ever-evolving voter base would be my go to today.

Simpler is better. Consider the @protocolguild model 

- Members curate the eligible set
- tokens vest over time
- allocations are time-weighted by when each member was added to eligibility
