I've been having some issues with voting and was wondering if anyone else had these issues?

I've voted and had my vote and comment show in the proposal activity, and then it will seemingly vanish. 

Some of my votes also hang like this and will not go through. The gas will show it was spent on my balance..

Youve only paid for votes that went thru. If you voted on something else and the vote vanished it means the tx didnt go thru (lets look into why!).
