Heard something interesting on a pod: Bitcoin is more tied w/ Nasdaq which is ultimately more tightly correlated w/ liquidity cycle - so by transitive property BTC also tied to liquidity cycle. However, the way to view Altcoins is, they're more like small caps / Russell 2000 which are more tied to business cycle

I heard that Bitcoin's uniqueness is in fact that it's tied to tech (IT) and commodities (digital gold) at the same time. So it should benefit from liquidity inflows & outflows too. However, I expect the second be more true once it achieves high mcap
