I could use your help! 👀 I'm meeting with a musician friend who's interested in getting more into web3, crypto, and NFTs. What are some of the most interesting/valuable/successful ways you've seen musicians incorporate NFTs or web3 principles? Any suggestions are much appreciated 🫡

music seems to have been a "harder" sell here, but platforms like sound (https://www.sound.xyz/) seem to have the most traction in terms of mints and volume, from what I can see it's a low price high edition for a long period of time type thing even "free" mints here in web3 payout like 30x what a normal stream does on Spotify though so the value prop is still quite reasonable for an artist to dip their toes into this space even casually. to answer your question directly though, I haven't seen that many artists go above and beyond in terms of tokens, they often just offer them the same way you would offer an mp3/wav file on Bandcamp, the secondary market and royalties is definitely unique for musicians though, not really a thing elsewhere for artists to get any after the initial sale of music. good luck to your pal who wants to join us though!

thanks! i was just looking through sound, so that's good to know. Have you thought about it from a membership perspective at all? E.g., hypersub members get early preview of the music? or from leveraging NFTs for licensing of music? e.g., if a visual artist owns the music nft, they get permission to include it their work, perhaps with a split to the musician?
