I like to call this seeing the action as the end in itself, not as a means to an end

“A fractal is a way of seeing infinity” is the mathematician’s way of saying “if you know the way broadly, you will see it in everything”.

Crypto is basically a speculative tech stock without privacy.

He was also estimated to be 25 when he died. Have to be grateful for modern comfort to be able to enjoy and appreciate many more years of life.

I am grateful for modern luxury, but I believe we’re wired for challenges. Imagine having to protect yourself from invaders all while searching for food to eat. And then imagine the resulting dopamine hit when you do find food. A short moment of peace to eat, and then right back to the next challenge.

I imagine our brains haven’t evolved much from this hunter gatherer brain. Our tech obviously has, but our dopamine systems might be similar. This man likely got short bursts of dopamine after struggling for hours to secure a meal. He died next to a dagger and arm guard and could’ve been a warrior too.

What a Norwegian hunter gatherer who lived 4,000 years ago might have looked like. Based on DNA from bones discovered during construction in Hitra, Norway in 1916. https://phys.org/news/2024-05-stone-age-trndelag.html

I didn’t take either. As evidenced by my last cast. I wish I had.

All good. There is also some more traditional anthropology things mixed in like the one below. Would love to know more about what you’d be interested in exploring, or even better if we get a Thomas cast in /anthropology https://warpcast.com/sean07.eth/0xf64175c4

That’s right, I am trying (perhaps poorly) to start convos around crypto culture and history from anthro perspective. The latest casts are one noting a Reddit community tipping crypto since 2022, and one bringing up the cypherpunks (early proponents of cryptography)
