Who here repurposes food waste? Composting, new dishes, or other methods.

I was big into composting during the pandemic but slowly stopped as I got busier around the house. In short, we set aside a bin for food scraps (excluding protein, dairy, citrus) and on a weekly basis I’d dump it into a rotating cylinder. Add dry yard waste, some water, and spin 2-3 times per week. Net: black gold!

My last round was an attempt at hot composting, which usually involves dumping the mixture into a big pile outside and occasionally mixing it around with a pitchfork. Much less work but needs some barriers to keep critters out. I think it was working but with negligence it got overtaken by weeds.
