Seeking advice: I thought I'd be a ultrawide monitor guy but after 8 years of rocking a 34" QHD at 50hz (my kvm is wack) I _think_ what I really want is a much sharper display. A 4K 27" 120hz display to be exact. Anyone have strong opinions for either? Especially for reading/writing docs or code!

I'm a huge fan of 4k monitors, for basic computing I've always used Dell Ultrasharp models, but I probably wouldn't recommend them for gaming if you also do that I might recommend larger than 27 inches, maybe a 32 inch for example, just for the extra work space What is your workflow like, do you need multiple monitors?

Before the 34" ultrawide (which is an Ultrasharp!) I had 2x 19" HD monitors. Worked well enough but I didn't the bezel in the middle, nor keeping my head tilted when focused. so I'm either 1x or 3x and honestly I'd rather keep it simple with one. So 32" I might consider!

If you use 2 monitors, most people's workflows have them using one more often than the other you should have the primary monitor be straight in front of you, and the secondary monitor that you use for referencing materials etc offset to the side of your dominant eye below are some ergonomics resources I used when determining this and notes from when I tested it (1/x)
