Pro tip: if you hit the character limit of a cast, even after rewording it to the T, check your apostrophes! iOS uses smart quotations by default, giving you a Unicode apostrophe ‘ which uses 3 characters, versus an ASCII apostrophe ' which uses an expected 1 character.

I try to finish my casts with 0 remaining characters. If I feel like “nice Jake, cast it”, but don’t see a number in the bottom right corner, I’ll either keep going, or edit until I see a sweet sweet 0. For casual replies it’s a bit more difficult, but it’s pretty easy for a full on think piece. 😄✌️
