I’m exited to read more about Andy Baio’s crash course in gaming history as that’s exactly what I’m looking to do! Besides the technological improvements over time. I’m thinking of prioritizing multiplayer games first to teach both cooperation and competition, and cap off with single player games.

i feel like with every year that goes by (Andy Baio's blog is from 2014) the ability to obscure tech from children gets harder and harder we may be the last able to do so!

While tech is increasingly ubiquitous, I do think we’re an overall more intentional generation of parents given how much information we have in our hands, and future generations may even be more proactive and informed than us. Not just in computer literacy but caring for the environment, AI agents, etc etc.

fully agree. interesting to think about how the next generation will likely have a very different and perhaps much more intentional relationship with computers than we do
