Is there an audiophile channel? My father recently passed away from cancer leaving me his set up but I'm struggling to get it working after having to unplug everything to shuffle it. Looking for someone to give me a hand but can't find a channel that might be able to help 🙏

By no longer working I mean the sound is passing through to the speakers but at a very low volume and lacks body or clarity. I'm not a complete idiot so we can cross out turning it up as a potential solution. I can also confirm that sound is coming from both speakers.

The set-up 1. The mac mini passes the audio to Minerva DAC via the firewire

2. The DAC is passing to the Conrad preamp via the channel outs to aux 2 (this is how dad always had it). The red & white leads into the matching red & white connectors on the DAC and Conrad. Conrad has aux2 set as the source.

3. Conrad preamp has the main outs connected to the custom tube amp with the red and white leads connected to the corresponding red and whites on the aux input. Can confirm the amp is set to aux for source. 4. Tube amp has the speakers leads plugged into the corresponding black and red connectors.

I THINK the issue could be that lead from the Conrad to tube amp connector has a pretty shoddy soldering repair job that he did but it was working previously with this issue so I'm not sure if this is it. I'd happily buy a new one but I'm unsure what the cables are called to be buying a new one.

Yes that's a bad connector. Already tried with a different RCA cable? Even if was just this channel, the other channel should sounds good anyway.

Thank you friend, I was able to get some help earlier on reddit but it was in fact a bad connector. I’ve got new cables and it’s all singing again!
