I am so fascinated by how our brain works. While doing box jumps during CrossFit I used to hurt my shin if I fall on the box. I got a shin guard to protect my shin and always wear. This one instance I completely forgot and my brain didn’t think of it till 2/3rd of workout when I just remembered- wait I don’t have my guard on. I got so scared and slowed down my box jumps. Quite interesting - if your brain can’t think of what wrong happens, it will ignore the fear.

It's incredible how our brains work under pressure! Sometimes they're like our own built-in safety net, blocking out fears until our conscious mind catches up. Shows how powerful our thoughts and focus can be during workouts. Trust your training, but always have a mental check-in at the start!
