@phala was at the TEEsalon event in Singapore and the recap of their takeaways was a pretty interesting read. In the recap, they dived into the future of RoT.

Hardware RoTs are secure but face challenges like physical attacks and vendor lock-in. Decentralizing RoT with Ethereum-controlled MPC networks solves these issues—providing flexibility and enhanced security for TEEs!
