Geth had 80-90% dominance at time of The Merge almost a year ago

Now, Geth is under 50% dominance and we generally have a very healthy client distribution across both the consensus layer and execution layer

Geth is one of the clients that people run on the Ethereum network.

Ethereum values client diversity so the list you see in the pic are most of the clients that can be run on the network.

Geth's dominance coming down is really positive because the value of client diversity comes from a good client distribution.

Most nodes and validators already exist outside of the U.S (around 60%) so I'd say we have pretty good geographic diversity given that the U.S has the largest presence in crypto right now.

That one closure bug in geth that bloated the client by ~15gb probably contributed to this in a pretty significant way lol

I run Nimbus and Besu, and despite some challenging weeks/months following the Merge, they’re now a very stable, auto-pruning, and low-footprint combo. I recommend them for anyone looking to move away from Prysm/Lighthouse and Geth/Nethermind respectively.
