thinking about the whole *not enough interesting content* thing imo, farcaster culture has always been at its best when it's been about building on farcaster when the warpcast team was launching a new feature every week, e.g. frames, it was super interesting, and it got a lot of outside attention and growth the same was true for degen people here are *interested* in trying new farcaster apps as they're being built, being early this culture drives growth *and* is interesting and entertaining idk, maybe the data proves me wrong?

this is so true tho fr fr. everyone either wants to attribute it to the decline of degen and blaming users for being “tourists” just to grab some free money , among other accounts for what happened, but idk man, those things are certainly at least partly true but doesnt account for it altogether, if we are being intellectual honest imo. i think you are right it has more to do with a vibe shift and shift of focus out of that period that in one way or another became less about building neat and exciting new things and more like preoccupied with filtering the user base and moderating content. and i think thats really why people lost interest just as much as the “cash grab” explanation, fr fr. it started with the power badges. that was the real exodus event that it seems like we/the leadership refuses to want to acknowledge. and its just been more reiterations of the same thing over and over since then. nothing cool nothing particularly exciting…
