Fun fact: As an Ontario resident earning regular income of $150K CAD, you'd pay a total of 31.6% in taxes. As a California resident earning $150K USD, you'd pay more in taxes: 32.5%. Good post but the numbers looks bad when compared to other cities with much less income tax. Also yes Insurance is expense but vice versa is true for housing here in Canada
