Crypto is like Australia...everything is trying to kill you. Trying not to die is the problem to solve for in crypto. I've seen many crypto founders succeed in the bull only to get eaten by a crocodile in the bear. Business models that worked going up don't necessarily work going down. There are multiple ways to protect yourself but most of them sacrifice the success going up. Discipline is hard during the extreme bouts of euphoria in crypto.

Answering for (multiple) friends - breaking out of the crypto/Web3 echo chamber and reaching a broader market. Think this is often self-inflicted, but a problem nonetheless.

if venture-backed, addressable market especially for consumer apps is too small and doesn’t demonstrate exciting enough growth. stepping out of the echo chamber is possible but unfortunately also dilutes messaging for core users
