Constant, periodical minting didn't work for art (until now). But it might work for music (I don't think so, but who knows) My own experience until now with web3 music: didn't stick. Could be that there's no great discovery method to use, or I wasn't spending enough time on it. Either way - web music still needs to find a decent consumption method. Right now it looks like cassettes back in the day. And we all know what happened to that tech and consumption method - got replaced by better, easier tech and ways to consume it. 10 usd/mth to Spotify gets you covered for most of your music needs. THIS is the standard to beat.

I totally hear you and we're thinking through this everyday. Our model is unlimited open editions that cost $2.50 to collect and you get back $1.50 in rewards of our favorite memecoin of the week. Eventually that will progress towards ownership in the label and hopefully artist tokens. Adding upside exposure is the way that we beat $10/mo subscription that lacks meaningful depth and connection with what you're listening to. Give our music a geez - I take a lot of pride in it! https://www.sound.xyz/cooprecsmusic/appears-on
