I don't quite understand how it is possible given the challenges of translation — however, these books have left quite an impression on me. Balle's use of language truly feels like a realtime render engine that slowly adds detail and clarity that unfolds like origami in my mind. A bizarrely palpable experience. And gotta love these covers. Gorgeous!

Yes! It really is special. I don't read much fiction and this book really makes me 'feel' the words in ways that make no sense to me. This sensation was particularly strong as I began reading. It is hard for me to describe. But the writing gave me a sense of wonder. Made me notice.
