I'm building an SMTP server for fun over the Holidays and increasingly itching for a web3 native solution - automatic acces-controlled aliasing/roles - user-defined cold messaging/spam 'fee' - key delegation to prevent forgeries - on-chain DNS anything else?

something like waku's Symmetric encryption https://js.waku.guide/docs/guides/04_encrypt_messages_version_1/. Although I suspect the simplest implementation is similar to Mastodon where keys are stored on each instance. The drawback is the owner is able to decrypt the messages.
