I think some founders should have regular jobs before deciding to start a company Having shitty jobs makes you a better manager, and after your startup is 10 people you become a ppl manager

Working shitty jobs helps build empathy for your fellow coworker. I'm looking forward to leading my own company because I'm instituting 4-day work weeks and everyone has to take turns doing support. Paying living wages is attainable, and I want to be the change I wish to see.

Totally agree. This is like the argument of going to college or not. College helps you interact with and understand people. A 9-5, no matter how brutal, teaches some great skills, also around interacting with people. It’s obvious when someone hasn’t gone through that.

I think being a "founder" should be held to the same unfair standard as "musician" or "actor." That one is an "aspiring founder" until the point when the first legitimate, non-vc bankrolled paycheck for their role as founder of a company hits their bank account (e.g. the org generates revenue.)

My most cockamamie social engineering idea is that before anyone can receive a large inheritance they have to work at like Burger King for two years.

ya, bonus if you have good managers too. Goes the other way too. Some company ppl should try and start their own business or work at a small company. Prune the sense of excess, turn talking into doing.

A person who has not failed means that he has not started a new work 👍
