Cream cheese, avocado 🥑 and (a kinda) poached egg. I love when a restaurant realizes that your mood for the entire day depends on their meal, and take that responsibility seriously

The wandering mind at home as depicted in´The Whispering Game’ by Alice Herbst, oil painting and oil pastel on a linen canvas Unusual ability to capture introspective states during ordinary moments, typically on regular days at home. The comfort we afford in our own homes is often taken for granted, yet it still triggers all-consuming realizations

Being hopeful in early-stage startups means sending that hiring email to the same engineer after sending messages 3 different times, 9 (!!!) months ago that are still unanswered, even though he tweets about wanting this job 😶

Bought Sony WF-1000XM3 wireless headphones - silver some time ago because these were supposed to be the best at 'active noise cancellation' - let's just say, they didn't mute the world as much as I'd hoped. Anyway, I lost them and already miss how judgmental they were. Sony headphones app is jam-packed with features, including identifying new moods + location. So every now and then, I'd get a notification like 'we found a new mood, wanna check it out?' and it was always something like 'you like transparent mode, 📍living room' or 'you want active noise cancellation turned off, 📍bedroom' !!!! I mean, I'm occasionally moody, but never that moody 😒 😒

Highly recommend this talk by Dr. Fei Fei Li on why computer vision research is the portal to understanding the real world. "The ability to see...have ushered a Cambrian explosion...the simple act of letting light in became an active act, the nervous system began to evolve. Sigh turning into insight. Seeing became understanding. Understanding led to actions and all these gave rise to intelligence" https://youtu.be/y8NtMZ7VGmU?feature=shared

If we get to work together, I'll draw metaphorical 'Cat Distribution Systems' to illustrate machine learning techniques 🐱 🐾

I love when artists still get overwhelmed seeing their concerts sell out. Even when they've already filled in stadiums and venues before! Definitely getting tickets for Feb/Mar '25 concerts, but have to make plans with friends first. Weeping! Wish I could speed up time!!! Thank you, Gracie 🫶 🌌 🧚‍♀️

1. I once read an advice by a psychologist about dealing with a person whose mind is in an anxious state more often than not, which could also be extended to include a maximally stressed-out mind. To them, constant reassurance is a must because they're as certain about a relationship (professional, romantic, friendship...etc), or a situation, as the last words you communicated.

I love when a personal website (or a pet's website) features a fun fact that's written like a line in 'Young Sheldon' (The Big Bang Theory prequel). Something like: "Did you know that the world's first long-distance car trip was made by Bertha Benz in 1888?"

I want an 'Aura' feature in email interfaces (clients). A halo on users' profile images that communicates users' time and mental space before and after sending an email/message. - Green halo: sending you an email is still a priority, but so many other issues are demanding my attention as well so it will take a little longer. - Pink halo: we don't have smooth communication usually so I'm trying to find the right words that will warrant a reply. - Yellow halo: I sent you a message and I know you're interested but could you be more specific about your expectations. And so on.

Realising that I share a birth date with Stanley Kubrick (1928), George Bernard Shaw (1856), and Sandra Bullock (1964). It's my god-given right to work in creative fields. Biblically accurate star map 🌌

Hmmm, using Apple's 'Find My' for the first time, yeah, oh well, my iPhone got stolen :( there's something wrong here. 'Find My' is supposed to work so that an iPhone is still traceable even if it's turned off, right? It's been a few hours. I can't locate it, can't 'Play Sound' and 'Lost Mode' didn't even suspend my cards in Apple wallet! What's wrong?! I really hate this kind of updates and hate to complain, but there's so much chaotic energy in the air.

I mean the whole point of re-locating to a 'wormhole' was to accelerate communication* 🌀 * mainly so that my emails could find all of you faster, but phone calls, messages and cryptic signals count too.

1. This was a post about a romantic union. It's also about the enduring charm of what is considered today an 'architectural heritage' and used to be centuries ago just a 'home'. Yes, home to a wealthy family, but the main point is that beauty persists and the aesthetic choices people made centuries ago are just as magnificent today.

We are 5 children. 3 out of 5 hold master's degrees. The last 2 haven't reached this stage yet. Sharp brains in this family. God is generous and my heart is overflowing with joy.

1/ We have an unusual yet optimal height distribution in my family. The men are all tall, both my brother and Dad are 186-188 cm, my youngest brother is slightly shorter, but still > 180 cm. The girls are all cute mini size, I've 2 sisters and I am not even the shortest.
