This week we built batched mint-with-rewards transactions and sponsored reward claims on /moshicam. This addresses a key friction point for Smart Wallet adoption: needing to fund it first to use it.

Now you can open Moshicam, create a smart wallet, create a photo for free (no gas), and claim collector earnings for free (no gas). You now have eth in your wallet that you can use with any smart wallet enabled app! 

Onboarding should happen simply via using the app, without extra “crypto onboarding” steps.

We think this is especially impactful for first time crypto users who would need someone to send them eth (or find a fiat onramp) to get started - forcing them to think about addresses, networks, etc that are distractions from what they’re actually trying to do: try the app.

imagine being able to sign up for an app, mint things onchain, earn ETH, and withdraw to your personal wallet to use in the broader crypto economy – without ever depositing crypto or knowing what a seed phrase is

Love it. How do you think about tracking success of normie onboarding? Wallets created, first txn a moshicam mint or collect, either funded via Coinbase or exclusively via moshicam rewards?

After I get my humble buildathon submission in, I will have to find or build such a dashboard.

great question. for now the vast majority are 1) creating smart wallets for the first time, since the tech is so new 2) cryptonative due to farcaster integration

we'll eventually get to actively targeting non-cryptonatives but we're not quite there yet

what's encouraging is it's been very easy to onboard normie friends
