Just building my first LLM-powered app, and it's revolutionizing my approach to software development. As someone with many years of experience building software first directly and then as a part of teams, I thought I knew what to expect. I was wrong. The potential is mind-blowing, especially for small teams. But it comes with significant challenges: 1. Rethinking design, testing, and debugging processes 2. Dealing with the imprecision of natural language 3. Ensuring reliability and consistency in AI-augmented systems It's breaking my brain a bit, but also opening up exciting possibilities. I now have more empathy for big tech's publicized AI missteps. It's early days for both me and this tech. One thing's clear: we need to adapt, fast. And so many exciting opportunities. https://paragraph.xyz/@saadiq/so,-maybe-prompt-engineering-is-for-real
