My mom watches TV but doesn't like to go to the theatres to watch movies. 

30 years ago, theatres in my town weren't best-suited for families. Drunk men, smokers, crowded snack stalls, unhygienic restrooms shooed families away.

Although the situation is far improved with the advent of multiplexes today, my mom still hesitates to go to the theatres. 

But good films shouldn't be missed.

Cut to: Yesterday 

I organised a film screening for my mum and dad at home. It was a Hindi film that I loved and wanted them both to watch. But my parents can neither keep up with the Hindi spoken in the film nor the English subtitles.

Thanks to the steaming services and a plethora of language options (audio) to choose from, my mum and dad thoroughly enjoyed the film. And that made me happy.
