- would be cool if warpcast wallet had no fee for user to user transfers, seems pro-social (could still maintain swap fees or whatever other wallet fee)

I just quote when I’m not trying to involve the original poster, just referencing it as a starting point for my post.

Idk why but this has always been an accepted thing on Twitter but for some reason QT is seen as much more aggressive on here

No goal in mind, not intentionally involving or not involving them, just that what’s literally happening is:
>scrolling feed
>see post, makes me think of something
>post something that’s referencing original post so people have context

It’s very value neutral.

Replying feels more confrontational as if I’m expecting a response from OP, and like it’s attached to it.

Quote is just like I’m linking in reference for context, like old blogs used to, but the post is new, not attached to OP.

I see more quotes used like that now on Twitter, although I’d say congrats & dunks are still maybe only ~50%, YMMV obviously. 

Maybe it’s whatever weird corner I started in on Twitter but when I joined in 2011 that felt like the norm and I just still do it

genuine Q, what do you “trying not to involve the poster?” like what’s your goal with quote casting vs replying? 

also most quote tweets are either congratulations or dunks on twitter
