zoom call w potential future landlord. first off my zoom is set to "six onchain" so had to change that super fast. second, this fellow made us show our IDs and passports up to the screen. couldn't find my passport for like 3 mins while this fellow waiting, started tweaking. showed passport and then started getting interrogated about life situation. worked out fine in the end. now trying to negotiate away the brokers fee which frankly i thought had been removed from nyc.

In NYC every story I’ve heard about landlord charging broker fee is just a pretense for juicing more money. Paying it was a green light for them to see how much they can get from you. Every time it led to other shitty fees, increased rent, general bad ownership. The landlords I had didn’t charge brokers fee and were good. Hasidic guys in Brooklyn were the best ones in my experience
