For whatever reason I did not expect Mongolian to use Cyrillic script. Looking at the history and apparently that it was forced on Mongolia in the 40’s by Stalin. Seems so odd that it’s not more related to eastern Asian scripts

They’re trying to revive the Mongolian script, which is written vertically and looks a bit like Tibetan.
