Issuance is a meme until number stops going up, then supply and economic models actually matter. Memes don’t last forever, assets should.

Issuance is not a meme - Justin Drake just got the reasons for the sell pressure wrong. Although taxes can cause you to have to sell, it's akin to Stock Based Compensation which regular companies HAVE to include as part of their P&L even though it's not a cash cost.

Ethereum people have a 3D understanding of crypto and Solana people have a 2D understanding. In the 2D world of fees, speed and 'now' Solana is right, but in the 3D world of decentralisation, durability and adaptability Ethereum is right. I'd bet Solana people on average have seen less cycles and coins come and go.

I’m not sure economic security not being a meme implies that issuance is a meme. IMO issuance in this case is more a incentive mechanism to run the network than a meme
