Max Resnick is MLGA - a new sect of Ethereum that wants to Make L1 Great Again. He thinks Ethereum has made a mistake by "giving up" on L1 and pushing everything to L2s. I asked if he was trying to start an ETH civil war because his takes are...spicy. But, is he right? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FLUJ0uLye0U

I feel like the main problem now is that enshrining a specific sequencer or aggregator tech is required for full cohesion, but new advancements in zk tech keep making the old tech obsolete. We need something agile enough that solutions can compete while also safely sharing liquidity across sequencer solutions.

Saying people are making a mistake by moving to L2's is like your boss saying you quitting was a mistake because they weren't paying you enough and you should be happy with what you get at the end of the day this is a supply and demand issue, if he wants people to use L1 more often then L1 should be as cheap as L2's, it's literally as simple as that.

Ethereum wants users, not profits, and that’s ok as long as the network can keep networking.

MLGA is an interesting concept, but pushing everything to L2s may be the right move for scalability and efficiency

Max’s takes are definitely spicy! The L1 vs. L2 debate is heating up. Is he right? That’s for the community to decide, but it's clear his vision is sparking some serious discussions.
