Episode 7 : The Lighthouse of Alexandria, or Pharos of Alexandria, was built around 280 BCE on the island of Pharos in Alexandria, Egypt. It was one of the tallest man-made structures of its time, standing between 100 and 130 meters tall, and served to guide sailors into Alexandria's busy harbor.
