Is anybody allowed to post in all channels now? Whats the difference between being a member vs following a channel?

some channels are “member-gated” some aren’t 

For the member gated channels, only the members can post in the channels and the followers can engage and view but not post, for example /art 

For the open channels, anyone can post on the channel, Following or member… for example /commitment

I have commitment issues || I only commit to good vibes

There's something orwellian to /art being gated
