This prompted me to revisit the Ricoh GRiii/X rabbit hole. Curious for strong opinions and which to get if so (28mm vs 40mm)? I want to shoot more non-iPhone and would like to shoot people a good chunk of time but ultimate priority is flexibility, portability (having on me), ease

from a focal length perspective, you can do with both imo. 28mm won’t be like the classic portrait (like with 50 or even 85, which is my fav), but you can get it done depending on the style you want to develop with it. about the ricoh itself, maybe @ashtontekno can give some insight

@jackson sorry for the late reply. i haz the ricoh griiix ue! (40mm equiv) By fart the best compact camera i got! IS, APS-C sensor, great in low light imo. Lots of fun to make recipies, sharp as tack! 40m is tighter in but fits my style.Batt life, slowish af, weather proof are the cons. Anymore questions feel free to ask and check out my IG below to see samples. (also, they kinda hard to get brand new might have to get second hand or maybe pay a premium for brandnew) https://www.instagram.com/ash.kno/
