If you've been paying attention to Apple long enough, you realize that most non-Gruber analysts trying to paint them as not much different than a Samsung don't understand the company has taste (the ghost of Jobs). Not a fan, but the rules are the rules. I suspect they will only change it if they feel like there's imminent federal regulation.

Brutal. IMO it's signal that Apple is no longer a technology-forward company and is in a managed decline. The "walled garden" made sense when smartphones themselves were cutting edge.
