happy that farcaster has replaced a lot of discord servers in crypto. trying to get in touch with server mods without any previous reputation in their server was just a horrible experience

It's the logical extension if you ask me. If we could get channels beefed up more, I'm confident we could convert a lot of subreddit owners as well. The potential is here, we just need to be able to customize them a bit more. Add some cool tags, better ways to moderate a feed to encourage more long-form conversations/etc.

I’m 100% in the same camp and believe Channels are strictly superior to Discord for getting in touch or following communities. Discussions per topic, threads etc are better on Discord.

I won’t say replaced. It has definitely brought competition. But it hasn’t replaced discord in the crypto space.
