having chatgpt voice assistant open on my phone while reading non-fiction feels like a game-changer. I've always struggled to connect historical events/people and understand how they influenced each other but instead of diving into endless wiki pages, i was chatting with my personal history expert about england under the romans, the arrival of the anglo-saxons, the normans, and how they all fit together. this convo felt very different from my usual daily chatgpt questions, more like a tutor or expert on demand

feels like a game changer, this will kill side or foot notes of the author (at least those who are 2 pages long 😅) but could be done with alexa or similars too without LLMs ? and, what about verification of data, example, you are reading Aristotle from the source (an Aristotle book) and Internet has tons of data about Aristotle from other sources, some could missunderstood the OG book.. how to deal with that? Does it become a philosophical debate with the AI? can an AI be a philosopher? at least could lead the thinking of one..

i didn't use my google home for this because the barrier of constantly having to say 'hey google' was bigger, and their answers would probably not have been as informative on the rest of your question, i wouldn't overthink it and take the AIs response with a grain of salt
