Meow. This is a fun fight. I use my ENS here (obviously) but I don’t really believe ENS has delivered on their promises. There is so much competition for namespace alone, which prevents universal adoption of ENS. It feels like people mostly support ENS now out of some sense of loyalty to the dream. Squatters have taken everything, too. I have had someone try to sell my name back to me. In contrast my FID gives me interoperable identity+wallet address — PLUS network, reputation. It is more than just the name alone like ENS and the many competitors

yea building a namescape without any identity attached to it is hard to get adopted, and just hate a bunch of inactive wallets squatting a lot of the S tier names

And who wants to be extorted for a reasonable name as a new entrant? Everything happened so fast, IDK. In a perfect world ENS could have evolved like DNS did. But it didn’t…… people chose to make competing namespaces instead of coalescing around the one……now they all feel a little worthless
