i feel like a common "excuse" for people when they are talking about a genre they don't particularly like is: 

"it all sounds the same"

personally guilty of saying that in regards to country. but i've definitely heard it used referring to a lot of different types of genres that are disliked by the person i'm talking to.

i find that excuse kinda funny reflecting on it. feel like the most genuine way to respond is that "it's just not my type of vibe." "it all sounds the same" is kind of a lazy excuse.

unless you're talking about country, cause it all sounds the same.
