It's mostly that it's a simple thing you take for granted, but behind the scenes there's an insane amount of complexity in how it all fits together.

I am glad I've started to properly understand how it all works though, as it's making a bunch of stuff make more sense now.

true, in fairly complex applications, language default async behavior might even become a bottleneck
